Encouraging a Healthy Change Effort:
Using project management competencies to help
stakeholders meet organizational goals

Projects successfully meet implementation goals when project managers integrate healthy cognitive and organizational support processes into project planning and activities.  This presentation harmonizes two models – one of adult cognitive development and one for establishing commitment to change, and provides short interactive exercises that encourage mindful stakeholder engagement.

Speaker: Byron Haskins
Byron Haskins has over 25 years leading the administration of state and federal public programs and policy research teams serving disabled citizens.  He served as Director of the Disability Determination Service from 2004 to 2009, Director of the State of Michigan Department of Human Services State Disability Programs from 2009 to 2010,  leaving to become a disability policy expert at the Social Security Administration, in Baltimore, Maryland from which he retired as Director of Disability Training and Policy Support in 2016.  A graduate of the Western Michigan University School of Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology, Byron brings theoretical concepts of adult human development into organizational change work.
