How to Register

Lunch & Learn meetings are listed on the calendar. The url to login to the online meeting will be emailed to registrants the day prior to the meeting.

This year we are launching our 2020 vision of the Project Economy. We designed a series of short presentations on the Standard of Project Management as it is presented in the PMBOK® Guide V6.0 so we can start a conversation with our members and the community. We want you to understand the new PMI® standard and most importantly how does it fit your daily work. 

Join us twice a month for a presentation and discussion with a moderator during lunch. It is online and you can join using our new Zoom platform from the comfort of your office or at home on any of your device.

 

Let us introduce you to the subjects:

The standard of Project Management-PMI® establishes basic components of what Project Management is according to ANSI/PMI 99-001-2017, standard.  It defines the PM process groups and the knowledge area.  We will take you on a tour to learn more about the knowledge area, the process groups and eventually we will look at the part of the Standard of PM and the concept of the guide of PMBOK® Guide finally we will address the new changes to the PMBOK in the 7th edition. Includes the processes involved planning, estimating, budgeting, financing, managing and controlling costs so the project can be completed within the approved budget.

14 May - Quality Management

Includes the processes for incorporating the organization’s quality policy regarding planning, managing, and controlling project and product quality requirements, in order to meet the stakeholders’ expectations.

21 May - Resource Management

Includes the processes needed to successfully to identify, acquire and manage the resources needed for the successful completion of the project.

28 May - Communication Management

Includes the processes required to ensure timely and appropriate planning, collection, creation distribution, storage, retrieval, management, control, monitoring and ultimate disposition of project information.

4 June - Risk Management

Includes the processes of conducting risk management planning, identification, analysis, response planning, response implementation and monitoring risks on a project.

11 June - Procurement Management

Includes the processes necessary to purchase, acquire products, services, or results needed from outside the project team.

18 June - Stakeholder Management

Includes the processes to identify the people groups or organizations that could impact or be impacted by the project, to analyze stakeholder expectations and their impact on the project and to develop appropriate management strategies for effectively engaging stakeholders in project decisions and execution

25 June - The new PMBOK V7.0 what are the Changes?

4 August  - We will start the series again with Introduction to the 5 Process group
