About Us

Dear Member,

It is my pleasure to serve in this second year as President.  First, I want to thank you for supporting our team which serves our membership and our local project management community. It is a privilege and we have worked to honor our duties with diligence, professionalism, and mindfulness. We are excited to bring experience and expertise to keep growing and maturing our chapter into a vibrant resource center dedicated to retoolrecharge, and reenergize our Project Management Professional Community. We are now 400 strong!

Armed with lots of innovation, ideas, and expertise, we bring home to your fingertips the best Global tools, documentation, and experience that PMI has to offer. Our new office space right in the heart of Lansing, our Capital city, brings us closer to you and enables us to be an active part of the business community.

A major innovation this year includes extending our Outreach Programs to involve academic, nonprofit, business, and service communities. We have also created a new outreach program designed to provide help and support to military veterans in obtaining applicable credentials to join the workforce.

Our newly revised Programs calendar of activities offers training in all areas of project management and certifications which, thanks to your interest and participation, was a full success.  Regular events now include the Lunch and Learn which is now sold out every time! Evening presentations and webinars full of practical information and PDUs provide a great way to sit down, relax, and learn more details!

Members can join Communities of Practice (CoP) relating to their expertise or interest where beginners, mid-career, and experienced project managers meet, exchange ideas, and learn from each other.

We have hit the ground running and we are going strong! Your feedback and participation are a vital part as we continuously improve our effort to serve you better. We are all in this together, so check out our job and board opportunities and join the fun as we continue to move forward. And, make sure to register early for our upcoming and always popular PDD on November 29!

Please join me and our team for our fall activities. Don’t be a stranger, just come and visit! MCAC is a great way to Learn something, Share your dreams and passion, and Give back to the community.  Enjoy and celebrate fall colors and another great season for the members of the Michigan Capital Area Chapter of PMI.

Let's do great things together!

Sincerely,

Gabrielle
