THEProject 2018: From Scenario to Winning Team

Speaker: Joseph Vig, MBA, Sr. Project Manager, Initech Global, LLC assigned to Amway

2 PDUs:  0.5 Technical, 0.75 Leadership, 0.75 Strategic and Business Management; Vinod Surapaneni’s portion will be .5 Strategic and Business Management

Come take a look inside the project management plan for Western Michigan Project Management Institute’s (WMPMI) annual collegiate project management competition. It includes integration management, scope management, time management, cost management, quality management, human resource management, communications management, risk management, procurement management, and stakeholder management.

THEProject 2018 is the 7th annual collegiate project management competition offered by the WMPMI. Student teams from colleges and universities throughout the WMPMI service area help create solutions for a real-life scenario in the form of a project plan. Although project management tends to favor business, computer science, and engineering curriculums, students of all academic disciplines are highly encouraged to participate. THEProject engages college students in the practice of project management, develops their leadership skills, and provides them with a showcase to demonstrate their leadership abilities on stage and in person with business and community leaders from West Michigan.
