PMBOK® Guide – Sixth Edition!

May 15-18, 2018 ⋅ 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Saturday, May 19 ⋅ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm  (half day for mock testing)

Learn Project Management using the context of the PMI® Process Groups through skills-based training developed using a proven methodology to meet your PMP goals. Study exam topics through the lens of the Ten Knowledge Areas while developing and reinforcing real-world project management skills. Take in–class practice exams to help you learn not only the project management knowledge, but also the nature of the Project Management Professional exam, the types of questions asked, and the form the questions take. 

When registering, please be sure to select the correct "Ticket" for either in-person classroom or online session. You can also register for a study group too.  A minimum of six participants are needed to form the group.
Students will receive a printed student guide (in person or PDF virtual), a printed PMBOK (either in person or virtual) and flash cards (both).

Michigan Capital Area Chapter of PMI, 120 N. Washington Square, Suite 300, Lansing, Michigan, 48933  The study group will be offered from 6-8 p.m. on  April 17, April 19, April 24 and April 26.

Tuesday and Thursday Evenings - in person or via Skype

This study group meets regularly to help project managers get ready for the PMBOK® Guide V 6.0 Exam which changed on March 26, 2018!  It will focus on final review of terminology, concepts, areas of strength and questions, questions, and more questions!  

Those who attended our PMP Bootcamp in January used the study group to get ready for their exams.  Two of them attendees have already received their PMP certifications!  Prepare before the next PMP Bootcamp on May 15 – 19!

There is a three step process to achieving the PMP Certification:

  • Experience
  • Past Training
  • Passing an Exam

There are two parts to the process:

  • Part One: The PMP application
  • Part Two: The PMP exam

For Part One, the PMP application, the requirements are:

  • Get PMI® to approve your PMP application (which means meeting all the application requirements)
  • Have 35 Project Management PDUs in advance of filling out the application
  • Pass the examination
  • Maintain your certification by earning 60 PDUs over every three years
