08/26/2010 - The Project Solvers of America Inc. - Project Managers     The Project Solvers of America Inc. is looking for three project manager consultants for a one year assignment in the Farmington Hills area in Michigan.

(1)        Project Manager

(2)        Project Manager/Mechanical Engineers

Project Manager Training/Consulting - Machine Tool Industry - Mechanical Engineer Degree 5-6 years automotive project manager work experience & PMP certification required.

Scope & Staff: We have upcoming 15 machine projects and currently 2 project managers with various skill levels and 2 project managers we are seeking to hire that are college graduates of a Mechanical Engineer Bachelor's Degree who we can train extensively for our product line. The 15 projects will kick off November 1st and we must have the staff hired and a consultant/trainer in place. We are looking for a trainer/consultant that is local to Michigan and has an automotive background that can work with our in house team and coaches which includes the CEO and the Engineering Manager. The trainer/consultant would sit in on the daily meetings with the team and the customer to define the project time lines etc. These meetings will trigger certain activities that the trainer/consultant would assign to the team and provide individual coaching as well as team coaching as the projects develops, utilizing budget, recommending necessary resources, tracking and updating the time line, addressing proper customer interface, follow-up and details. The consultant/trainer would lead the group to successful management of the entire project life including stress level management where necessary should the project(s) be delayed or changed. We anticipate 1 year from start to end with the following approximate guideline. We currently use Microsoft project.

1st month: 3 daily meetings per week with both the customer and the team and the trainer
2nd month: daily meeting should reduce to 2 meetings per week with the trainer/customers/team
3rd month: interaction with team would reduce to as necessary probably 1 meeting per week for follow-up etc. for approx 6 months.


The projects will begin November 1, 2010. It would be a requirement that procedures are developed and a work instruction provided for future jobs concurrently as these first 15 projects are developed and managed. The trainer/consultant must provide the team with the necessary tools and techniques to keep the customers happy and the jobs on time within budget. Need resumes by 9/3/10 to meet requirements.
