About Us

Dear Member,

It is my pleasure to serve as your newly elected President.  First, I want to thank you for electing me and my new team to serve our membership and our local project management community. It is a privilege and we are ready to honor our duties with diligence, professionalism, and mindfulness. We are excited to bring experience and expertise to grow and mature our chapter into a vibrant resource center dedicated to retool, recharge, and reenergize our Project Management Professional Community.

Armed with lots of innovation, ideas, and expertise, we are getting ready to bring home to your fingertips, the best Global  tools, documentation, and expertise that PMI has to offer.  We invested in a new office space right in the heart of Lansing, our Capital city, to be closer to membership and to become an active part of the business community. Some major innovations this year include extending Outreach Programs created to involve academic, nonprofit, business, and service communities, and a new outreach program designed to provide help and support for military veterans looking to join the workforce with applicable credentials!

Our newly revised Professional Development Programs will offer training roadmaps in all areas of project management and certifications. Regular events now includes lunch talks, evening presentations, and webinars full of practical information and PDUs. Members can join Communities of Practice (CoP) relating to their expertise or interest where beginners, mid-career, and experienced project managers can meet, exchange, and learn from each other. Learn about  our new board structure, and bylaws presented for approval by members in October.

We have hit the ground running and we are going strong. We are looking for your feedback and participation to continuously improve our effort to serve you better. We are all in this together, so excited, and ready to meet with you soon and often, so we can move forward as a force!

Thank you to everyone who attended the Open House on September 20th  at MCAC’s new address. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and some new ones too.

Take a look at our upcoming Agile for Executive  workshop, our new Agile boot camp just before PDD and the PMP prep bootcamp for January with a study group starting in October!! Let's do great things together!

Sincerely,

Gabrielle
